No. 7 John Carroll, playing in a Showcase game against Sidwell Friends, Thursday at the Governor’s Challenge in Salisbury, came from behind to claim a 48-42 victory.

Immanuel Quickley paced the Patriots (9-4) with 16 points and four assists, as they erased a four-point deficit after the opening quarter, to take a 24-20 lead at the half. The Pats then went on a 15-9 run in the third quarter to build some breathing room.

Montez Mathis scored 13 points and had eight rebounds, while Qadir Ismail added eight points five rebounds.

John Carroll returns to MIAA A Conference/Baltimore Catholic League action when it visits Archbishop Spalding, on Jan. 4.
