Boys’ Latin scored 11 consecutive points in game two of its MIAA volleyball match with Gilman, on Wednesday, as the Lakers erased a 23-14 deficit to stun the Greyhounds, 25-23.  The victory gave the B Conference Lakers a 2-0 lead on the A Conference Greyhounds and BL went on to complete the three game sweep.

Boys’ Latin won game one handily, 25-16, and finished off Gilman, 25-18, in game three.

In the pivotal second game, the Lakers pulled within 23-15 with a sideout and Glenn Becker followed with 10 consecutive service winners.  Becker remained on the line for the start of game three and rolled off five more points to get BL off to strong start.

Gilman battled back to tie the game at 12-12, but Boys’ Latin stayed composed and closed out strong.
