Lakers score 21 first quarter points to set the tone
Playing on the road in Severna Park to kickoff its 2019 football season, Boys’ Latin came away with an impressive MIAA B Conference win over Severn, 35-3.
The Lakers took control from the very beginning, scoring 21 first quarter points.
Joshua Jones got the Lakers on the board with a 23-yard TD run and quarterback Matt Greaver followed with a 40-yard touchdown toss to Andrew Jenkins. Blake Gable capped BL’s first quarter with a 40-yard return of a pick six.
Greaver added a 6-yard scoring run in the second quarter and Nathan Crouse, who added a fourth quarter interception on defense, scored on a 5-yard third quarter rush.
Severn averted the shutout with a 22-yard field goal from Alex Lashgari in the final minute.
