After vaulting up the VSN football rankings with a pair of impressive season opening wins, No. 3 Calvert Hall ran into a determined Good Counsel program, Friday night in Olney, and the Falcons routed the Cardinals, 23-0.

Good Counsel did most of its damage in the first quarter, when it scored 16 points.  Quarterback Andres Castillo, who completed 7-of-12 passes for 177 yards and three touchdowns, led three scoring drives in the quarter (2 TDs and a field goal) and added a third touchdown pass in the third quarter.

Keon Paye caught four balls for 145 yards to lead the falcons, while Mohamed Ibrahim anchored the running game with 92 yards on 16 carries.

Calvert Hall quarterback Kenji Bahar was 16-of-32 for 148 yards, with one interception.  Morgan Scroggins paced the Cardinal running game with 77 yards on six handles.
