No. 11 Glenelg Country School completed a three-game sweep at the George Long Holiday Hoops Tournament, Thursday, defeating host Wakefield (VA), 52-47, in the championship game.

Tournament MVP Anthony Longpré led the way in the final with 15 points in the final. The Dragons (9-4 overall) managed just six second quarter points as they fell behind 28-21 at the half.

Caidon Owen, who finished with 14 points, scored 10 in the third quarter to help GCS rally to tie the contest at 37. Longpré then scored six points in the final quarter, including a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line to seal the victory for the Dragons.

Jalen Gabbidon, who joined Longpré and teammate Isaiah Burnett on the All-Tournament team, added eight points as did CJ Wilson.

The Dragons visit St. Vincent Pallotti next Wednesday to continue their MIAA A Conference schedule.
