The highlight of the day came from Josh Green, as he set the new outdoor MIAA triple jump record with a leap of 47’-10”. Beck Wittstadt won his seventh straight 1600 with a time of 4:15, and he impressively won every individual event and relay in the league this year. Meanwhile, Rayuan Lane won the 100 with a time of 10.94; thus, he was undefeated in this event throughout the season aside from one false start.

The Greyhound 4×800 and 4×200 teams also did not lose this season. Gilman captains Wittstadt, Nigel Parker, Quinn Caverly and Josh Green finished the meet as a 4×400 quartet, setting the new league mark for the season with a 3:28. McDonogh competed well with impressive wins by Marcos Beach-Bayon in the long jump as well as Owen Pett in the 800 and finished their season 3-4 in a season that featured several close battles with top teams in the area.

“Both schools are thrilled that they had the opportunity to return to the track this year and thank the league and school officials that worked tirelessly to make it happen,” said Gilman coach Matt Tully.
