The Gilman soccer team picked up a big win, Wednesday, knocking off arch-rival McDonogh, the No. 4 team in the VSN Boy’s Soccer Top 20, 2-0.

The Greyhounds got one goal in each half, as Braeden Alevizatos broke the ice with five minutes left in the first half and Tyler Martinez iced it with a tally in the 63rd minute. Avery Merlo assisted on both goals.

The win evened Gilman’s overall record at 3-3-1 and the Greyhounds improved to 2-3-1 in the MIAA A Conference. McDonogh slipped to 5-3 overall and 3-3 in the league.
