Torain rushes for two scores for the Greyhounds
On the road in Laurel Friday night, Gilman School scored 19 fourth quarter points to rally for a 26-13 MIAA A Conference football victory over St. Vincent Pallotti.
The Greyhounds led 7-0 after Key Torain scored on a 1-yard run in the first quarter, but Pallotti tied the game with a 40-yard return of a fumble recovery for a touchdown in the second quarter. The Panthers scored again, with one minute to play in the third quarter to take 13-7 lead.
Early in the fourth quarter, Torain broke off a 70-yard run, setting up his second 1-yard rushing score. The Greyhounds missed the extra-point and the game remain tied, 13-13.
Gilman finally did regain the lead with a 25-yard pass from Matt Parker to Avery Jones-Allen. The Hounds then sealed the deal with a pick six after Pallotti had driven into Gilman territory, with less than a minute to play in the fourth quarter.
