Five Greyhound hurlers combine on one-hitter


After seeing a 6-0 lead dwindle to two runs, visiting Gilman School scored five times over the final two innings capture an 11-4 win over McDonogh School, as both teams opened their 2021 baseball season with an MIAA A Conference contest in Owings Mills.

Gilman managed only four hits in the game, but benefited greatly from 11 McDonogh errors and five walks. Casey Bishop and Stas Kaminski each stroked doubles for the Greyhounds, while starting pitcher Cooper Sidel allow not hits and struck out six in four innings of work to get the win.

In all, five Gilman pitchers took the hill and they combined to limit the Eagles to just one hit while striking out 12.
