Greyhounds improve to 4-1 heading as conference play nears


The Gilman varsity lacrosse team continued its strong start in 2018, Tuesday, as the Greyhounds scored a 9-5 home win over St. Stephen’s/Agnes (VA) to improve to 4-1.

Several players had multi-point games, with Piper Bond and Will DeMuth each netting two goals and handing out one assist.

Pierce Washburn also scored a pair of goals, while Doug Godine and Jonathan Hazlehurst each adding one goal and one assist. Andy Andrews scored a goal and Wallace Halpert had an assist.

Gilman will play its final non-league tuneup on Thursday, when it travels to Georgetown Prep. The Greyhounds will open MIAA A Conference play on Tuesday when they visit Calvert Hall.
