An assistant with the Friars for the last three season, he succeeds Brooks Norris
Joe Gaeta has been named the new head varsity baseball coach at Archbishop Curley High School, the school announced last week. Gaeta replaces Brooks Norris who resigned last month to pursue other professional opportunities after an eight year run with the team.
“We are looking forward to having Coach Gaeta lead our baseball program,” said Matt Hatton, Curley’s athletic director. “He is familiar with our school and baseball program having served as an assistant coach the past three seasons. We are confident the strong baseball tradition at the school will continue under his leadership.”
Gaeta began his coaching high school baseball coaching career at Concordia Prep School/Baltimore Lutheran where he served as an assistant varsity coach for four years. He joined Curley’s staff in 2016 and was with the team when it won the 2018 MIAA A Conference title.
Gaeta previously spent eight years as the travel baseball director for the White Marsh baseball program and currently oversees TEAM XP, one of the premier club baseball organizations in the Mid-Atlantic area.
