Ivan Yuryev staked Calvert Hall to a 1-0 first period lead, as he was assisted on a power play goal, with 8:12 remaining, by Nick Schiavone and Jack Finn.
The score remained 1-0 until Jake Hess scored a short-handed goal for Spalding, early in the third period, with an assist from Sullivan.
The Cardinals regained the lead, with 6:31 to play, when Yuryev struck again, this time un assisted.
Spalding goalkeeper Jake Paprcka saved 23 shots, while Calvert Hall’s Mike Finn recorded 17 saves.
