Unlike two of its MIAA A Conference rivals which had fits with Severn School already this season, Boys’ Latin limited Admirals’ star LJ Owens while putting four scorers in double digits, Wednesday, as the Lakers improved to 2-0 with an impressive 66-46.

Owens, who scored more than 20 points in close losses to John Carroll and Mount St. Joseph, was limited to a team-high 13 points by the Lakers.

Junior Brandon Bradsher topped a closely grouped quartet of double digit scorers for BL with 15 points. He was followed by 14 from sophomore Cam Spencer and 13 from senior Connor Walsh. In addition, junior Jaylin Andrews added 10 points.

The Lakers (2-0) got after Severn on the defensive end of the court early, limiting the Admirals to just 14 first half points and busting the game open with a 29-12 surge in the third quarter.
