The Boys’ Latin baseball team had four pitchers combine on one-hit shutout, Friday afternoon, and the first-place Lakers defeated visiting Friends School, 6-0, in MIAA B Conference baseball.

Max Mygatt made the start on the bump and went the first three innings, yielded just one hit and no runs, while striking out five Quakers to pick up the victory.

Ned Ruffin followed for an inning, Sam Grace tossed two innings and Mark Lopez finished things up in the seventh. Combined, the three Laker relievers did not allow a base hit and recorded seven strikeouts.

Leadoff hitter Cole Jarrett stroked a pair of doubles in four trips, scoring a run and driving in a run. Lopez also had two hits, with a double, a run scored and an RBI. Lopez also walked twice.

Jackson Gazin and Marquise Washington also produced a pair of hits each. Both scored a run and Gazin had a RBI.

The Lakers (12-6, 8-1 MIAA B) took a 1-0 lead in the second inning. They added three runs in the third and one each in the fifth and sixth.

Joshua Brooks had the only hit for Friends (1-7 Overall and MIAA B) and he drew a walk.
