Homegoing service for McNair Wednesday



Funeral arrangements have been set for former McDonogh School football star Jordan McNair.
McNair, 19, a redshirt freshman at the University of Maryland, died June 13, two weeks after collapsing during an off-season workout on campus. McNair was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he received a liver transplant, according to a GoFundMe campaign set up to assist his family with medical costs.
The cause of McNair’s death has not been disclosed. The University of Maryland is conducting an external investigation.
A viewing for McNair will be Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Wylie Funeral Home in Randallstown.
The funeral will take place Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at New Psalmist Baptist Church in Baltimore.
Burial will take place at King Memorial Park in Windsor Mill, following the funeral.
