The Cristo Rey Jesuit basketball team is in hot pursuit of the school’s first title of any type since entering the MIAA two years ago, and the Hornets maintained their lead in the MIAA C Conference, Monday, with a 57-39 win over Jemicy School.

Terry Curry led the way for the Hornets (9-10 overall, 7-1 MIAA C) with a career-high 26 points and Ahmaud Jones chipped in with 10.

CRJ only allowed four fast-break points in the contest and pulled away after taking a 24-20 lead at the half.

Jemicy (3-10 overall) fell to 0-8 in league play. Myles Johnson led the Jemicy with 14 points.
