Dundalk High football coach Sean Sandora has been named the new head football coach at Archbishop Curley, the school announced on Wednesday.
Sandora replaces Sean Murphy, who stepped down in January to relocate to North Carolina, after 21 years with the Friars.
“We are very excited to have Coach Sandora join our staff,” said Matt Hatton, Curley’s athletic director. “He has a proven record of winning and of helping young men develop life skills that they can use on and off the football field.”
Sandora was the head coach at Dundalk for five seasons, leading the Owls to a 39-18 record over that span. He took over the program in 2012 and led the team to a 9-3 mark in his first season, including the program’s first-ever playoff victory. The team made three playoff appearances under him.
The Salisbury University graduate was named the Baltimore County, Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Sun’s Coach of the Year in 2015 after his team advanced to the Class 3A state final
