No. 3 Loyola got three goals from senior star Ryan Conrad, including the game-winner in double-overtime, Wednesday, as the Dons edged No. 9 Calvert Hall, 3-2, in MIAA soccer action.

The victory avenged an earlier 1-0 loss at Calvert Hall.

Conrad staked the Dons (9-3, 8-2) to a 1-0 halftime lead when he finished a great through ball from Grant Robinson, midway thru the first half.  He then doubled the Dons lead when he struck again, 10 minutes into the second half, off a nice feed from Colin Horne, on a 2-v-1 break.

Calvert Hall (6-3-3, 4-3-3), however, battled back with a high press and got on the board with a great strike, from 25 yards out, by Brady O’Conner. The Cardinals then tied the game, with five minutes to go, on a goal by Adrew Riters.

Two minutes into the first OT, Conrad scored the game winner with an assist from Gavin Barger.

Carson Hunt had eight saves for Loyola, while Yanni Kevas and Sam Loeffler combined for eight saves for Calvert Hall.
