Key wins stays close to the leaders in the MIAA C Conference

Key School, looking to stay close to the leaders in the MIAA C Conference lacrosse standings went on the road to Pikesville, Thursday afternoon, and, behind a huge performance from Jaeden Clarke, defeated Beth Tfiloh, 12-5.

The Obezags received a half dozen goals from Clarke, who also added two assists for an eight-point day. Clarke’s effort slightly overshadowed a six-point performance from teammate Hudson Smith, who scored six points with four goals and two assists.

James Madison added two goals and an assist and Owen Wood scored twice for the Zags (3-3 overall, 2-1 MIAA C). In addition, Liam Morin net a goal for the winners. Key now has sole possession of the third place in the conference, behind undefeated St. Vincent Pallotti (4-0) and St. John’s Catholic Prep (3-0). The Zags host St. John’s on Friday.

Beth Tfiloh (3-2 overall) fell to 3-2 in the league where it resides in fourth place.
