Needing a win to remain among the leaders in the MIAA B Conference soccer standings, Friday, Park School got that just that, as the Bruins edged Annapolis Area Christian, 3-2, in overtime.

Senior Zach Charles headed in the Golden Goal after senior midfielder Bennett Abrams played in a corner. Charles’ shot found a home in the upper right corner of the goal.

The first half was evenly played, but senior Alex Wetzler got the Bruins on the board, with 6:43 left in the first half, with an unassisted goal.  Park seemed to take hold of the momentum, as junior Okezie Okoro added a goal off an assist from senior Devin Lowe, who played a short ball to Okoro off a free kick with 29:38 left in the second half.

AACS finally got on the board with 7 minutes left and just when it looked like things were over for the Eagles, they earned a penalty kick which was cashed in by Coll Moli to make it 2-1 with under 2 minutes to play.

With the victory, Park (6-5, 5-3) moved into fourth place in the league with 15 points. AACS fell to 3-7 overall and in the league.
