Knox leads the way with 18


On the road in Brooklandville, Friday night, Chapelgate Christian outscored St. Paul’s 26-2 in the third quarter, powering the Yellow Jackets to a convincing 57-37 MIAA B Conference basketball victory over the Crusaders.

Zach Knox and Jax Felder combined for 30 points in the victory, with Knox scoring a game-high 18.

At halftime, Chapelgate held a 27-22 lead and then overwhelmed the Crusaders with relenting defensive pressure which produced a avalanche of turnovers and transition baskets as they too a commanding lead.

Chapelgate is now 4-2 on the season and 1-1 in league play. St. Paul’s is now 1-1 overall and in league action.

St. Paul’s had 10 different players score points, with Luke Trotta netting a team-high eight points.
