Severn School has been fiercely competitive in the MIAA A Conference this spring, but after losing two of their last three games, each by a single goal on the road, including a 9-8 double-overtime setback at No. 1 McDonogh on Tuesday, No. 3 Calvert Hall had a statement to make when the 4th-ranked Admirals visited Towson, Friday night.
With four players score 3 goals or more, the Cardinals (12-3, 4-2) rolled to a 17-6 victory, after building a 11-3 halftime advantage.
JT Bugliosi set the pace with 4 goals and Jacob Kelly was the high point man with 3 goals and 2 assists. Jack Kinnear had 3 goals and an assist and Brendan Curry added his own hat-trick.
More offense came from Ethan Mintzer, who had a pair of goals and an assist, and Zach Green added 1 goal and 2 assists. Dan DiPeso also scored for the Cardinals, while Chance Campbell and Omari DeBerry had assists.
Tyler Perreten led Severn (13-5, 2-4) with 2 goals and an assist and Michael Lamon also scored twice for the Admirals. Charlie Olmert, Daniel Medcalf and Jacob Madish each scored 1 goal.
