Calvert Hall opens the 2013-14 basketball season with great expectations and the Cardinals got underway, Tuesday, with an impressive, 78-36, non-conference win at Friends.

After outscoring the host Quakers 23-17 in the opening quarter, Calvert Hall limited Friends to just 19 points the rest of the way as it pulled away for the rout.

Even Phoenix led 11 Cardinals on the score sheet with 17 points.  He also had two rebounds.

Drew Edwards scored 11 points and dished out four assists, while Nico Clareth matched both of those totals and added four steals.  In addition, Sean Mayberry and Chris Wallace combined for 15 points and eight rebounds.
