Calvert Hall and Gonzaga, two top tier private school ice hockey powers, will clash on Friday afternoon, but the game will have a higher purpose than who wins or loses.
The contest, which see the first puck dropped at 6:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Ice Arena in Baltimore, will serve as a fundraiser for Baltimore Area Special Hockey, Inc. (BASH). BASH, founded in 2007, runs the Baltimore Saints, an ice hockey program for children and adults with traumatic brain injuries or intellectual disabilities such as Autism and Down Syndrome.
Admission is $5.00 for adults (12 years and older) and $3.00 for students (with student ID), while children 11 and under are admitted free. All proceeds collected at the door will benefit BASH.
