Lakers bounce back from an earlier loss
Coming off a rough season-opening loss at Haverford (PA), Boys’ Latin’s lacrosse team into the win column for the first time in 2019, Tuesday, with a 12-10 victory over Gonzaga.
The Lakers (1-1) took a 4-1 first quarter lead and raced out to a n 8-3 lead at the half, but Gonzaga scored the first five goals of the the third quarter to even the contest. Undaunted, BL scored the next two and four of the game’s final six goals to claim the victory.
Cam Spencer led the way with three goals and scored twice in the closing spurt.
Ben Smith also had a hat-trick for the Lakers and Garret Glatz had two. In addition, Dom Pietramala, Cole Erickson, Brendan Grimes and Braeden McClure scored once each.
