The last team without a loss in MIAA B Conference soccer was defeated on Tuesday when Boys’ Latin traveled to Severn and defeated the host Admirals, 1-0.
Brian Becher scored the game’s only goal, unassisted, in the second half. Parker Yablon earned the shutout with five saves, while his counterpart Zach Domenech stopped five shots in the Severn nets. Severn outshot BL, 10-7.
With the win, Boys’ Latin (7-2-1, 7-1-1) remained tied for second place with Friends (7-2-1, 7-2-1), with 22 points. The Quakers defeated Park School, 5-0, on Tuesday. Meanwhile, St. Paul’s (9-6-0, 9-1-0, 27 points) maintained its hold on first place with a 8-4 win over St. Vincent Pallotti. Severn (7-2-3, 6-1-2), which handed St. Paul’s its first league loss since 2010, last week, is in fourth place with 20 points.
