After building a modest five-point lead in the opening quarter, host Boys’ Latin found a more explosive gear in the second stanza, outscoring visiting St. Mary’s 24-8 on the way to a 65-46 non-league MIAA basketball victory.

The 16th-ranked Lakers were led by Jaylin Andrews, who scored 20 points in the victory, as BL improved to 6-2 on the season.

Brandon Bradsher and Connor Walsh each scored 14 points for the Lakers, with Bradsher draining three 3-pointers, and Brandon Murray netting 12 points.

St. Mary’s (2-5) got a game-high 21 points from Joshua Wallace and Ryan Gardner scored 10 points.
