No. 11 Calvert Hall returned to MIAA A Conference/Baltimore Catholic League basketball action, Wednesday night, downing rival Loyola, 60-44, at home in Towson.

Josh Cornish, who scored a game-high 19 points, led a third quarter spurt in which the Cardinals outscored the Dons 27-11. That 16-point spread ended up being the margin of victory in the contest.

Logan Curtis was the only other Cardinal in double figures, scoring 12 points. The Cardinals jumped out to a 12-7 first quarter lead and still led by five at the half. Loyola closed the gap a bit in the final quarter, but never seriously threatened.

Calvert Hall, which has big contest at No. 7 John Carroll on Friday, is now 8-7 overall, 4-2 in the MIAA and BCL 3-1 in the BCL. Loyola (5-7 overall) is now 1-5 in the MIAA and 0-3 in the BCL.
