Severn School honors 24 college-bound student-athletes


Severn School honored 24 student-athletes, on Thursday, who have signed National Letters of Intent or made athletic commitments to colleges.

The group includes 11 girls and 13 boys and covers nine sports – baseball, boys basketball, boys lacrosse, boys soccer, golf, field hockey, girls lacrosse, rowing and sailing.

“Athletics are an important part of this institution,” remarked Severn athletic director Julian Domenech, a 1984 graduate of the school. “Severn places a strong emphasis on training the body, on teamwork, competition, quick thinking, and creative strategies that bring triumph and pride of accomplishment.”
