Indian Creek and Pallotti advance with road victories

Indian Creek and St. Vincent Pallotti, both No. 3 seeds from their respective divisions in the MIAA C Conference, went on the road Monday afternoon and pulled off upsets in the C Conference soccer quarterfinals to advance to Thursday’s semifinal round.

Indian Creek traveled to Anne Arundel County rival Key school and pull off a 2-1 win as Brandon Harris and Carter Mullin each scored with John Porter and Sammy Carter assisting. Key’s only goal was an unassisted shot by Daniel Sagbohunka.

Pallotti went to Frederick to battle St. John’s Catholic Prep and the two teams played a scoreless, double-overtime draw, before Pallotti advanced on penalty kicks, 6-5.

On Thursday, Pallotti will visit Glenelg Country, the winner of the Black Division, in one semifinal contest, and Mount Carmel, winner of the Red Division, will host Indian Creek. Thursday’s winners will play at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday in the MIAA C Conference title match at Anne Arundel Community College.
