Gerstell Academy’s Reece Early and St. John’s Catholic Prep’s AJ Javitt each pitched no-hitters in the MIAA C Conference, Tuesday, with both the Falcons and Vikings winning their respective games by scores of 11-1 in five innings.

Early actually accomplished his feat in a non-league game against a B Conference squad as the Falcons (9-2) defeated Park School in Finksburg.

Early struck out 10 Bruins while throwing 60 pitches over five innings. He also helped his cause at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and a home run, while driving in three runs.

Max Friedman also contributed two hits for Gerstell, while Chris Hagan and Matthew Szedlock drove in two runners each.

Javitt tossed his gem at home in Frederick in league battle with Saints Peter & Paul.

Saints Peter & Paul captured a 1-0 first inning lead on an error, but Javitt took charge from there, striking out eight.

The Vikings ended the game with a nine-run fifth inning. Again the pitcher help his cause, as Javitt had started the rally with a single and later added a second hit in the inning.

Alex Morgan had a RBI double in the third inning to give the Vikings the lead for good. Tiernan McCormick also had a RBI double and Regan Mills joined Javitt with two hits.
