In the championship game of the 22nd Annual Eagle Classic, Saturday evening, Boys’ Latin put on a solid all-around performance to defeat the host, No. 17 Annapolis Area Christian School, 69-51.

BL (4-0) had four players in double figures led by freshman Brandon Murray with 16.  Junior Conor Walsh added 15, junior Jaylin Andrews scored 12 and senior Brandon Bradsher finished with 10 points.

Kori Rawlings led AACS with 19 and five rebounds.

In addition to his 16 points, Murray added 15 rebounds and six assists.  Junior Chris Bates also had 10 boards for a second night in a row.  BL played a complete team game scoring 69 points on 24 assists with Bradsher and Andrews getting seven assists a piece.

Murray was named the tournament MVP, scoring 38 points and nabbing 22 rebounds in the two games. Andrews was named to the All-Tournament Team totaling 28 points, 14 rebounds, 12 assists, and 5 steals.  Rawlings and Jarret Heckert were both named to the All-Tournament team for AACS.

Boys’ Latin will host its MIAA A Conference opener on Monday night, welcoming Loyola to the Gelston Center. Next up for AACS (2-2) is a visit to Saints Peter & Paul on Wednesday.
